Clone / Import - Chat

Starts a new chat, inserts the messages of current chat (Clone) or the chat you imported into the new chat.

Readable, oobabooga, tavern formats can be used for import. Readable history files can also be used, it will ask you to choose the chat you want to import.

Takes long?

Character ai version of inserting chats is incredibly hard, because you can't insert a character's own message directly. You need to wait for its response to edit it. And you can't even edit or generate a swipe before the first response is properly formed in the servers.

That's why Character ai's chat import process takes longer and may fail.

Janitorai's messaging system is more forgiving. It is way faster but we still need to wait for server responses to keep the messages in chronological order.
